Digging lots and lots of digging,
also we made stoves!
And Elder Andriatsitoherina clime a tree!
The selfie is me under a petrol station in the rain! The rain shuts this country down… I’m telling you, when the floods came in Noah’s time it actually did not rain hear, it just lightly sprinkled for a week and everyone starved,
A picture of sugar cane.
And by the way, I am up to 175 push-ups a day. Oh so the pic with me holding that purple stick with that guy ( Benidicto) that is sugar cane, it costs 13 cents per stick and it is the most pure sugar in the world, one stick makes 3 cups of juice. The sugar cane tastes like pure apple juice. You chew it then spit it out after you get the juice
So not a lot happened this week, just busy, we found 2 new families to teach! One is a fam of 8 and the other 17! Lots of people, they want to know more about Christ but I think the walk to church is a bit to far for most of them so we will see!
One thing I have learned this week is that unity is the key to happiness
The key to unity is the gospel!! Now I’ll use my experience with that so far on my mission
My first 3 months in Kololo my district was disobedient, we did not follow the mission rules, we woke up late, we watched football and practically wasted 3-4 hours each day, for a bit I thought it was just what you do as a missionary in Uganda, but I felt like I should have said something but I never did, feelings of doubt and inadequacy as a new missionary stopped me from saying anything.
Now after that I moved to Mukono where I have been sense, this area was OBEDIENT, at first it was hard repenting and trying to step up to the plate, but now days I’m never tired, sleepy, angry, frustrated, with myself or anyone else. I get along with my companion 100% in fact we had to make a goal to talk less to each other and more to other people so they don’t feel left out!
Follow Gods commandments. And you will feel better, it will be hard ask anyone, it’s not easy but it defiantly is worth it. The commandments you follow wont seem to make a direct impact off the bat. But do it for a while and then turn around and look back. After you look back on your life look in the mirror. And see who you are now.
So after that cheesy comment I hope you all can try and apply at least one Commandment this week and see how it affects you,
Love you all have a great week!
